What is Bug?
Overview
Bugs are mistakes in the software that can cause a page or product to glitch, behave in unexpected ways, or even cause a crash. In the IT world, a bug is a coding error in a computer program.
A bug is the result of a coding error; such errors in software or hardware cause a program to malfunction. A programming error causes a program to work poorly and produce incorrect results, or a webpage crash. It can be simply defined as the difference between expected and actual. A defect is an error found after the application has gone into production. It usually refers to a number of troubles with software products, either with their external behavior or with their internal characteristics. In simple words, a bug is a difference between expected results and actual results in the context of testing.
