What is Click Stream?
Overview
When a user lands on a website, he clicks his way through it to complete a task. This path of clicks the user took to accomplish a goal is called clickstream.
A clickstream is a pathway that a user takes through his online journey. The trail of mouse clicks made by a user while performing a specific task often refers to linking from one page to another webpage.
Clickstream is focused on a single website and generally shows how the user progressed from search to purchase. Clickstream is about tying together all the actions that a user has taken in a single session, i.e. where a search, click, or purchase was made in one session. This leads to one of the most difficult areas of clickstream data to define.
