A radio button is also known as an option button. A radio button is a selection control that often appears when users are asked to make a decision or choose one of the options.
It is a graphical control element that allows users to choose only one of a predefined set of mutually exclusive options but the radio button is distinct from checkboxes (where the user can select/unselect any number of items).
