What is Source Code?
Overview
Source codes are considered programming statements that are created by a programmer with a text editor and visual programming tool and then saved in a file.
Source code is a set of instructions and documents written by a programmer using a programming language. This code is then translated into machine language by a compiler and the translated code is called object code.
Source code and object code are the states before and after a computer program is compiled. Programming languages that compile their code include C, C++, Swift, Delphi, Fortran, Pascal, Haskell, and many others.
