What is Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)?
Overview
The main goal of the Web Accessibility Initiative is to make the Internet accessible to people with disabilities. WAI brings together people from disability organizations, governments, and research laboratories around the world to develop guidelines and resources to make the Web accessible to people with disabilities.
Set up by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), WAI to help people with disabilities to make the Internet more accessible. The WAI applies to all types of disabled populations, including the growing elderly population with hearing, cognitive, neurological, physical, speech, and visual disabilities.
